I'm sorry you feel so jealous. Maybe in your next lifetime you will be half as talented as him.

If the world were full of well-rounded individuals who grew up playing with other kids, we would still be in the dark ages.

I'm sorry stevie, I am not jealous.   It semed pretty obvious from the video the this child was pushed in front of the piano and made to do what it had been "taught" to do. As a parent this is not a pretty sight.    The expectation placed on this poor child seems so great that, in my experience, the child will either grow up to be a technically very good, automaton, or a mental patient. I hope that I am wrong

This is absolutely baseless and quite laughable. It isn't at all "obvious" the child was forced. Just because a child is very, very good does not mean he was forced. He played the piece with nuance and extraordinary understanding. This is painfully obvious, but I need to spell it out for you: You cannot "force" a disinterested 4-year-old to play a Bach partita. No matter how hard you try, it just will not work. It is talent and interest that got him where he is.

Now, I want you to think through again what you said and come up with a logical response or take it back, because you've really made a fool of yourself.

Again, by your reasoning natural geniuses of the caliber of Mendelssohn and Mozart could not exist, because they must have been forced by over-eager parents.

There are children out there smarter than your own. Get over it.

Wellll... good grief.

All I'll say is that even if my very young child were way interested in something and crazy talented, I'd certainly let him get his jollies out and I'd nurture him along--but I get the point about making sure that's not his only focus. We pianists know the amount of work it takes to learn, memorize and fine-tune these pieces--what a feat for a wee'un! As well, lots of musical geniuses were/are straight-up crazy, poorly adjusted, socially inept and/or miserable. Genius often comes at a price; there is an argument to be made for balance--regardless a child's natural inclination.

Aside from all that, is it me or does he look like he might be a little older than 4?

I still think that the video of the girl playing mozart is the most amazing. So beautiful...

But the 4-year-old was just scary (in a good way). I was very impressed- then the fast part started, and I died  . Contrary to the suspicions of others, I do believe he is 4.

The supposed 7-year-old (I don't think he was younger than 9) had absolutely phenomenal technique, but I felt the slow section sounded a bit metronomical. But he has time, and it was still amazing.
