World Trade Center movie
on: August 12, 2006, 01:29:56 AM
I just saw this today, and wow.  What a powerful, powerful movie.  It is only the third film that has ever made me get teary (Hotel Rwanda and Ray are the other two).  Perhaps because it's so near to memory, but it is an incredibly intense film, raw and emotional.  Anybody else seen it?  I haven't seen any of Oliver Stone's other films, but if they are on the same level as this one, it's worth looking into.

I'd say it's definitely worth $6 or $7.

Some of the families didnt like the way the funds, made from this movie, were handled.

I'll still watch it.

Just to see this event from another perspective.

One is just too little.

Most American films glorify America, even if the film is about boming the Sh**i out of other nation Rambo style. However i cant see haw this film can glorify America, French movies are a lot better. Sheesh i cant believe that they are going to commercialize such an event.

i dont think theyre doing this to commemorate the even, but rather to makes bundles and bundles of money. nicholas cage probabyl doesnt give a sh*t about what happened. thats just my idea. glorifying america is just a money-earning tactic.

Is this the movie about the plane that was destined for the Pentagon? If so, I haven't seen it so won't pass judgement but am very keen to.

If you're talking about the latest one, the Oliver Stone movie, that's another one on my list. But I understand there was some discussion about toning down publicity in the wake of the alleged failed terrror plot in the UK (?)

I think the critics are saying if you're going to see one you should see the latter.
