I have this problem with my finger, my middle finger is 4 cm longer than my little finger, and when I'm playing scales for grade 8 ABRSM for the major scales in thirds, my middle finger always strikes the piano key faster than my little finger adn it sounds really bad!!!
 :-\ :-\

Do anyone has some advices and tricks how to overcome this problem, because it really annoys me..... Haha...

Btw, how can I play this major scales in thirds so that it sounds legato? thx alot!!

If your hand/fingers are in a nice curved position then all your fingertips will be resting on the keyboard at the same time--curving the fingers makes all the fingers the same length.  Are you playing with flat fingers?

Move your wrist to the right as you play. This will help to even up the length of your fingers. After that, it is a question of 'making things hapen' properly.

Yes, indeed, I realised it to late :P
So @ TS: it has nothing to do with those 4cm, but with the movement of your fingers/wrist.

Yes. You have to experiment to find the method that suits you best. Some combination of wrist leading or rotating, and finger positioning will allow you to play thirds without splitting them.

This is really difficult to do. Perseverance is the secret. Learning the C# minor 3rds study from Chopin's op 25 will help your right hand loads.

Hehe. We can all live with a tolerance of 0,0000001 seconds. Sounds good to me  ;D
