This is my firts recording post here. Iīm glad to post and share my atempts with you fellow pianists. Itīs being very helpfull to listen to other peopleīs recordings and coments.

I have studied piano in the past during fours years. Didnīt achieve much progress on that ocasion. Even though I studied very hard, got stuck on a bad method. The pieces I learnt better and got up to performance level where all studied by myself, away of the teacher. I didnīt develop any good technique at all, after four years studiyng. I realised that after showing my repertoire to another teachers. I got really sad, when I was told I got no technique.

Well, after a 9 years pause, here I am studiyng piano back again. This time I managed to get my self an excellent teacher. :D  It has been 10 months since I started, and Iīm very happy with the results until now. And Iīm studiyng some very pleasant repertoire, including this sonata.

Iīm very fond of Mozartīs music, Iīm trying to focus in clarity and evenness. Coments are most well come.

Other movements to come! ;D

Hi piano, isn't it frustrating to to go to all that trouble and have no responses!

I listened to the Mozart, and it is beautiful!  You have a lovely light touch, nice phrasing, and your clarity and evenness are excellent.  If you want any suggestions, I would say soften the LH accompaniment a little bit, and maybe vary the dynamics even more--maybe also a tiny bit more legato in the more lyric sections.

It is lovely as it is, my comments are personal preferences.
Keep up the great work, and please post the other movements!
Teresa

The Mozart was very good, true to the character of the music. Infact Mozart is good to listen to in the morning, puts you in a good mood.

hello Teresa,
thanks for your kind coments. Itīs very nice, coming from a person who plays mozart so well. You concerto in fabulous. Iīll keep your sugestions in mind for a future recording. Iīm just sorry it wasnīt recorded in a grand, because itīs much easier to make the LH softer, and acentuate the dinamics even more. Anyway, I donīt think the piano on mozartīs time was much better than the up right I own ;D . Thanks and hope to see more recordings from you!

Hi Zheer,
I was aiming for it, be true to the character of the music. Iīm glad you like it, thanks for listening!

piano,

I know how frustrating it can be to have a piano or a recording that doesn't quite reflect all your efforts at dynamics, etc.  Your playing is beautiful.  And you are a great example of how there are no "bad" pianos, only bad pianists!  You made your upright sound wonderful.

I have somewhere a recording of my Mozart K453, and I will post it if I manage to locate it!

Meanwhile, keep posting yours! Love 'em.  ;D

It sounds like this was recorded on a period instrument.

Very enjoyable. You play very well.

I found the Bach a little uneven at tempo, but still a very nice rendition.

Congrats.

Looking forward to more recordings.

By the way the recording itself is amazing.

Indeed it has something fortepiano-like. I enjoy listening to your interpretation very much. It's real mozartish, frolic and joyful and you're in the music with your heart. Very likeable!

Hi pianowolfi and relefebvr!

Thanks a lot for your nice coments about the Mozart! :) It makes me very happy! Iīm working on the second and third movments. I will shure post it as soon as I get a decent performance.

About the minuet... you are right. I know I was a little lazy on that piece. When I did this I was sort of testing the microphone set, so I got to sight read some easy pieces. Something suposed to be a "just for fun" recording... haha... no doubt there are some tempo inconsistencies... also I got the wrong values for notes on the last measure of the first part... but what the hell... when I listened to the recording, I thought it was ok... so decided to keep it. ;D Anyway, I must try to re record it in the future, along with other easy but beautifull little pieces, then, I promise Iīll be much more careful! ;)

Hey piano121,

Nice playing! I actually wanted to reply after you just uploaded your recording, but I didn't do so because I didn't have anything constructive to say. Since I'm not such an expert as some of the other posters here, I was afraid I just wasn't able to judge your playing. The sound of your instrument also confused me a bit, since it was so different from most other pianos. Now, after the responses from the other members, I realize that the reason I couldn't give you any tips, was just because your recording was a great recording! :D So, I really just should've posted some compliments, instead of doubting my own judgment skills...

I also plan on doing a Mozart sonata for my next recording here. I hope I can make it sound a bit like your recording (but on a different instrument...).

letters, I would be glad to listen to your recordings!

well i am currently deciding what i want to record at the moment... it wont be mozart, i think it might be a little bach prelude (not a 48) its only about a minute long! but i like playing it so il post that.

Unless you somehow have a different version of the sheet music than I do, check those two LH chords in the third-to-last measure of the A section. Other than that, really liked it! Looking forward to the next two movements.

Yes," somehow" I do have a diferent version ;).

I know what you are talking about. I know booth versions. They have pretty diferent notes on those chords. Anyway I choose to do the Urtext version of the score, Revision free and faitfull to the original manuscript. Thatīs the version you listened.  There are other versions with lots of revisions, (I have Germer) with those chords, changed to match the similar passage in the last section. I have no clue why editors like doing it. sometimes they find latter copies of pieces with diferent notes or wathever...  So itīs up to the interpreter to choose what he think is more apropriate, acording to his taste and knowledge. (in my case acording to my teacherīs advice! ;D)

Very good! It makes me happy for some reason :D
It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

Outstanding job on both of these pieces.  If you put out a CD I'll buy it.
