id hate to tell you, but if you need the fingerings written out for you, you probably arent ready to play the piece.

Hi, gotta agree with jre58591 on this.  I am using the edition edited by Gyorgy Sandor (it has some fingerings), though I believe it is out of print.

No fingerings written out like a lot like the whole page is filled with numbers and stuff, "I mean like some fingerings that would clarify some hand positions". I use to have a whole score with no fingering whatsoever... It was confusing at first and took a while to finger it. But actually the one from piano.ru is the one I'm looking for, I forgot about that site.
Thanks!

But what is the best edition?

i use the "International" edition for the complete. For the fingering----i sit down and work it out or call a fellow pianist who has played the Sonata and ask their advice.

boosey and hawkes is fine for prokofiev sonatas, fingering where needed.

Has Dover done a edition?
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

May be off topic, but:

Which sonata is harder:

1st or 3rd ?
Currently learing:
- Chopin: Ballade No.3
- Scriabin: Etude Op. 8 No. 2
- Rachmaninoff: Etude Op. 33 No. 6
- Bach: P&F No 21 WTC I

I have both the Boosey & Hawkes and the Kalmus. I have not yet seen a single fingering.

I was sure there was in boosey and hawkes but you're right. Not really necessary anyway.
