Mozart - Gigue
on: August 24, 2006, 08:20:55 PM
Two weeks ago, I heard Andras Schiff playing a pure Mozart Recital (it was great, but a bit to much mozart for one evening ::)... ). So at the end of his performance I was a bit tired, but then, he played (as an encore) a piece, which he just called "a Gigue by Mozart". It was a short fantastic piece, very refreshing and a joy to hear. Could anybody imagine, which piece this could be? Thanks.

Make a list of all Mozart gigues.

Gonzalo is surely right. It has some daring harmonies for Mozart and is a gem. It makes a nice conrast piece for the a minor Rondo K511.
