Kind of obscure I know, but worth a shot.

Did he ever take a break from writing music to even eat or go outside at any point? that's incredible.... Some of those sonatas are remarkably large and frightening in appearance. I wonder what they'd sound like in the hands of a very accomplished pianist.

You only need to go to YT to hear distinguished British pianist Martin Jones play them all. I've
only heard no.1 so far and it is indeed very good. Large, profound, virtuosic, well-crafted. Early romantic sonatas hardly come any better than that.

Thanks for pointing it out. This is quite a discovery for me.

As it was for me. Czerny really deserves to get more credit. And where would be be without YT
and its tireless uploaders !

Quite true. I would add -where would we be without people who were prepared to exercise their own judgment and look beyond the  purely canonically anointed.

Yes. We can complain about the demise and marginalizing of classical music, but fact is there are
more artists and record companies than ever who venture outside the tried and tested repertoire.
Kudos to them too. The riches to be found on YT are priceless.
