Joyce Hatto's Beethoven Sonatas

I'm new here, so forgive me if this topic has already been discussed to death.  But I've become acquainted with this pianist's Albeniz, Liszt, Chopin and Prokofiev CDs and I can only say that her playing is a revelation.  It is -- hands down -- the finest playing I have ever heard. 

Are anyone of you out there familiar with her Beethoven recordings?  Could you recommend some discs?

hi! I can guarantee you that this topic has not been discussed to death, in fact I'd go so far as to say that 99% of the members here do not know who Hatto is. Which is a shame. I haven't heard her sonatas yet, because I can't afford CA discs at this time. But if you check through google groups there has been a lot of discussion of Hatto's pianism (particularly on rec.music.classical.recordings).

Thanks for your reply, Brew.  I've heard a lot of great pianists in my time, but Hatto is something else.   I hope pianists here google her name and learn of her heroic achievements on the concert stage and the recording studio in Cambridge, England.  Her playing is not just technically and musically astounding -- there's something spiritual about it.  A unique genius we've lost.  She died this summer when her work was on the verge of discovery.

I don't like the chances of that happening, but we can live in hope.
