Does anyone know of this book?
on: September 20, 2006, 03:42:01 AM
Greetings.

I was just wondering if anyone has information as to where I am most likely to obtain this book, for it is a most curious book that I can't wait to read. The book is called "Bruegel", by Shergenzon-Tchegodayeva.

Thanks.

Heh, I tried searching everywhere, but to no avail. There is reference to this book, but not the actual book itself.

Bruegel was an artist, and this fascinating book is about him. A lot of knowledge.

'brueghel' might be another spelling of his name?  hmm.  will look him up.

Yes, that is another form of spelling his name, but as far as I know, or have seen so on the internet, his name is spelled "Bruegel". Thanks for concerning over this, really helps.

ok.  you have to distinguish between which one you are searching for.  the father painted.  the sons painted.  each son had a distinguished name.  'the peasant'  and 'the elder'  or was it 'the younger' and 'the elder?'   anyway - the father was a great painter - but died when the two boys were infants.  leaving them only paintbrushes.  they became painters, too.  and, in time - one only painted scenes with peasants.  the other painted great landscapes without peasants.  one of which was a ziggurat.
