What happened to it? Will it ever come back?

I did not know it had gone.

I visited it when it started, but have not looked for a long time.

All I know is that Ryguillian originally placed a notice on the site saying that the forum had by accident been permanently deleted, and he was working on restoring it.  That was weeks ago.  Now the site looks like this.

Hopefully it'll be revived. There were some great discussions over there.

Talking about my forum?! :-P Well, I do have all intentions on restoring it... I’ve just been terribly depressed lately and can’t seem to do anything... *shrugs*

I'm sorry to hear this and hope that you can shake that off soon - for your own sake, of course, as well as in the interests of the restoration of the forum (by the way, I've been away for a couple of weeks, otherwise I'd have responded immediately to your post).

Best,

Alistair
