Rochberg?
on: September 22, 2006, 12:27:00 AM
I stumbled upon this composer while reading the program of an upcoming masterclass I will be playing in (a contemporary music masterclass with David Lang).  The particular pieces I am interested in are the Short Sonatas?  They sound virtuosic and remind a little of Messiaen (a little).  What are you opinions of those pieces and George Rochberg?  What grade would you say are the grades for each one of the sonatas?  Thanks.
