Dutton Epoch Piano Discs
on: September 27, 2006, 08:16:41 AM
The excellent Dutton Epoch label is responsible for a revival in very rarely performed English works by composers that the current generation of Brits has mostly not heard of.
Some of the discs are piano recitals and I was wondering if anybody had heard any of these discs and what there thoughts were. After all, English composers aren't famed for their piano music, are they?
Discs include:
Alan Rawsthorne: Complete Piano Music (John McCabe & Tamami Honma)
Cyril Scott: Complete Piano Music (3 volumes so far, Leslie De'Ath)
Edmund Rubbra: Complete Piano Music (Michael Dussek)
Bernard Stevens Works for Solo Piano (Florian Uhlig)
