USE YOUR COMPUTER TO HELP BEAT CANCER
on: October 03, 2006, 03:41:45 PM
This project has been going on for many years, I recently rejoined it and started a group PIANO FORUM on there which you can join so we can collect results together. So any members who never done this before or have done it but forgot about it, please join up and help the world! Millions of years of computer calculation is needed, so the more the better, we all need to work together to make this happen!

At the moment there are 1,324,884 computers working on this project with over 481,670 years: 308days :03hours: 43minutes: 47seconds of computer processing time.

Wouldn't you consider praying to be much more effective?

Praying does help, whether it is more effective or not is subjective and unimportant. God also taught in the bible to work hard to help ourselves. He gave us the ability to help ourselves, a lot of us think we just sit back and wait for it to happen, it isn't so. It is the same with prayer, without action your prayer is useless. If you simply talk and do nothing else how can you ever expect to achieve anything? You must actively take part in the work for good! You can always sit back and pray by yourself in your own space, but there are ways, such as this computer project, which actively allows us to make a change in this world.

Don't be lazy, we humans are lazy, we just ignore ways to help or make excuses.
