Isn't this just an amazing etude? So much dissonance. I love it.

i love it. it almost reminds me of lescalier du diable, but a bit heavier, faster, and more dissonant. coloana fără sfârşit is the version he did for either human or player piano i think. that one is worth cheking out also. man, ligeti was such a genius.

I hate Ullen's recording of 14. Aimard's sounds better.

I would like these guys play this etude live.

It´s freakish and in my opinion the hardest of the Ligeti etudes.
