Difficulty of Chopin Etudes (I'm sure this has been asked...)

Hello all
I was wondering if anybody could give a grade difficulty (preferably by RCM , but ABRSM would work too) for all of Chopin's Etudes, both Op.10 and Op.25.  If that seems like too much to do (which I suspect it may be), what are some etudes that would be good for someone playing at a grade 9 RCM?

After looking at the list, it seems that they are all probably a bit above me still...  Perhaps I'll start with something a tad easier like his Waltz in C# minor, Op.64 No.2

Every etude but Op 25 #2 are concert etudes for the Performer's ARCT for the RCM system.. I learned the Black key etude and F minor op 10 while doing grd 10 rcm... You might wanna wait a little longer bfore doin these.

Yeah, I think I'll put them off for a year or so and then perhaps try some of the "easy" ones.  I'll Get a few easier Chopin pieces under my belt first.  I'm just trying to find a Chopin piece that's quick and maybe a bit showy.

EDIT: If anyone's curious, I've settled on two Chopin pieces that aren't too difficult.  The Raindrop prelude (Op.25, No.15), and the Minute Waltz.  The former is just awesome, but I think the latter may help me in working towards my eventual goal of playing the posthumous Waltz in E minor and ultimately one of the crazy etudes or preludes.

Yes, it's good to start with the easy ones first. The Op25 No2 is one of the simplest etudes as it's notes are rather easy to follow and learn. In addition, you could try Op10 No9, which is mostely an etude for the left hand. You could even try Op10 No12.

Try to resist the temptation to try out the harder etudes. (Heck, I'm not even that standard yet! ) Leave the 'Winter Wind', Op10 No1 and Op10 No2 to next time.

By the way, judging by your repetoire, it would be good to add in some Czerny to your etude repetoire. Try the 'School of Velocity. It helps train your fingers.

10/1 is okay... as long as you don't try to play it up to tempo, it's quite manageable, even when sight-reading, as the notes are predictable.

When I resumed lessons after not touching the piano for quite some time, I did the C# minor waltz first, then the Nocturne in D-flat which was a bit of a stretch and then moved onto Op. 25, No.1 and am now working on Op. 10, Nos. 3 & 12 and 25, No. 12.
