This is yours truly with Sydney, my friend Bob's cat, named after Sydney Smith, the English Victorian composer. You can see that he has pianolist's feet.
To get Sydney here, I carried out the following steps, which I'll write out as instructions:
1 - If necessary, reduce the photo in size to around 600 pixels wide. This is not essential, but it helps avoid those messy blue scroll bars. To give you an idea of the available space, this photo is exactly 600 pixels wide.
2 - Upload it to another website somewhere, or to your own webspace, if you have some. There are very many free sites on the web which allow you to upload pictures for all to see. I searched "picture upload" on Google just now, and imageshack.us is the first site to be listed.
3 - When you have finished your text (assuming that you want the picture at the end), click on the text centering button above the reply box. "[ center ][ /center ]" will appear in the box. You don't have to center the picture, but it does look neater.
4 - Click on the little picture icon, second from left on the second row of buttons. "[ img ][ /img ]" will appear, and the complete text on your last line will be "[ center ][ img ][ /img][ /center ]".
5 - Put in the web address of your photo, between the two [ img ] codes. In my case, I stored Sydney's photo at:
https://www.pianola.org/pianostreet/sydney.jpg. So my complete picture text looks like this:
[ center ][ img ]https://www.pianola.org/pianostreet/sydney.jpg[ /img ][ /center ]. Actually, there are no spaces within the boxes in the real code, but if I type them like that, then Pianostreet will treat them as code and not print them out in full in these instructions.
6 - That's it - I'm keen to see your husky!
