help -- i sprained jy fimger

Had a soccer ga,e=== yesterday.  Fell, lanmded on my hand.  i jst tought it was jammed, went to bed after icing a little.  got up this morning, was really swollen and painful, went to the doctor's. got am x0ray.  they said my index finger of my right hand is sprained, so i can't play piano with it for a week.  my fingers are taped together.  i cant bend them. thjat's not very good.  i am working om reallu big right hand pieces right now-- a chopin etude,, grieg comcerto, macdowell hungarian etude, a bach fugue... this is upsettimg

what do ido?

Take the chance to work on your left hand. Learn and master the LH parts of all those pieces, and make sure you let your RH heal as fast as it possibly can, but don't rush it. And don't use it until a doctor says you should: you don't want it to heal, start playing and then it be injured again from playing too soon now do you?
