i just scheduled my first ever piano lesson due to the persuasiveness of the people in this forum! it might work out and it might not but it is a good price and he can set me in a good direction. he is a college music professor so i think he would be well rounded enough to have the tools to set me on the path to virtuosity jk no i think it will be beneficial.

lol it's subliminal when you are stubborn and dead set on doing it your way and you get to a point where you say i wan't good or better technique and i don't seem to be progressing without a smarter eye. Then you think "god these guys are always talking about getting a teacher to learn correctly". suddenly the dam breaks and in floods the prodding that you ignored in the first place.
