thirded.  is that a word.

thal, i think i DID get depressed because i wasn't as smart as everyone else.  my step-dad teased me a lot and i'd only think of good comebacks an hour or two later.  finally, i started laughing about things.  i just accepted the fact that i may never be a brain surgeon.  i may never read a map correctly.  i may burn dinner occasionally.  but, you just have to keep going and do what you are good at.  you know...what your talents are.  mine happens to be, i think, playing the piano.  i feel really content and happy after an hour or so.  there's something to music that calms the soul.  even listening to music.  but, participating makes you feel like you've accomplished something - and it cheers up other people sometimes, too.  although my family will sometimes say 'stop practicing, we can't hear our show on tv.'  or' we can't concentrate on our homework.'  this gets me depressed again.  i can't play the piano in my own house.

That's really cumbering. You should have your grand in a separate room, perhaps a cellar room or so. I am currently looking for a flat with a separate hobby room where I don't disturb anyone and am not disturbed by anyone. Not easy to find though. :(

haha  very funny.  i hope you burn....dinner sometime.  then - you'll see what women go through in a typical day.  we have to have an outlet somewhere's.  otherwise - we WOULD  literally go crazy.  i mean, women in the old days probably went crazy right and left.  can you imagine all this work from scratch?  churning butter?  that would end having butter in my house forever.

my typical day starts at 4:30 or 5:00 and ends at 10 -11 pm.  granted half the day has been on piano forum.  but, i can't help that.  it's just something i have to do lately.  until i get the leroy anderson piano concerto music (and sleigh ride) which i'm finally getting instead of trying to download for free.  i drop off and pick up my kids from the bus stop - take them to friends houses or help with homework - to games, to movies, to exercise - and sometiems i cook really good dinners.  i am not lazy -but i'm not exactly the fastest mover anymore.

i forgot - lest anyone care, really - that also i keep the outside - yard work going.  thankfully, it's fall and i don't have to do it anymore.  but, i did clean the rugs,e tc. outside and some windows.  there's always something going on.

and the word "emo" is used when looking down on someone  :-[

I am not "contrapunto" and do not seek to upstage his/her possible answer here, but whilst it could be something to do with an Irish oil company as seen on
www.emooil.com
or electronic money orders as seen at
www.emocorp.com
it is, of course, nothing of the sort in this context and you'll probably be somewhat dismayed at the true so-called "definition" of this so-called "concept"; its purported derivation from the core words "emotion", "emotional", etc. is, of course, a particularly gross example of how to pervert the course of language - but then the very word "emotion" and its derivatives was already being widely misused and misappropriated well before this most unsavoury offshoot was even thought of...
