Refurbished Ipods
on: October 30, 2006, 03:09:51 PM
Ok here's the deal. I'm looking for an Ipod as a gift. The person "wants" about 40 GB of space. I don't know that I can afford that. So the question is: anyone have experience with refurbished ipods? Is there still a warranty on them? Or would it be better to just get something a little smaller that's new? Any comments appreciated.
Thanks.

Get something a little smaller that's new. Mine's a 20 gig and it still has about 2 GB of free space left after two and a half years, and it contains over a week of music. Maybe your friend wants to watch videos on it, that requires more gigs but I wouldn't know about that. I don't think Ipods are being refurbished, they want to sell new ones.

I keep hearing that the ipods with a lot of space crash after like 2 years. Is this true? I will probably end up getting a 20 GB or possibly a 30 GB.
