wisdom teeth, again!
on: November 02, 2006, 03:58:46 PM
ok.  today is the day for my son to get his wisdom teeth out.  up to this day - i've been saying 'oh, it's nothing really.  when i got my wisdom teeth out - i felt so much better they were out.'  well - today i thought hmm.  maybe i'd better sort of warn him.  so i say 'you'll be in enough pain to not want to do your homework...'  (as a sort of motivation to get him to get the homework done).   now i think he's preparing himself for a death sentence.  four out at once.  anyways, prayers from whomever reads this and feels like praying.  hopefully, they'll come out without too much hammering, etc.  all four are impacted.

Yeah, I'll pray for him, and you.  Don't forget the ice cream!

dear jpianoflorida,

ouch!  and, while on your cruise.  that's bad timing.  i understand it quite well.  last year's trip to paris - my husband had a head cold that went into an ear infection - and he was in pain on the flight over and back.  this time next year, you won't remember a thing.  but, i hate being stuck somewhere's on 'vacation' and have this sort of thing happen.  thanks for your consoling thoughts!

dear penguinlover,

thanks for the prayers, too!  yes.  i just got him TWO chocolate shakes.  he reminded me that one wasn't enough.  he really hams things up.  he's not in much pain right now - and the procedure went well - so i really appreciate the prayers!  it might swell a little after the fact - but at least his jaw is intact.  to me, when i heard 'four bone impacted teeth' - i thought the worst.  basically that they'd be jackhammering each corner.  as it turns out - that's probably what they did.  i'm glad i don't have to watch.  they didn't offer to let us see any teeth - so they probably all came out piece by piece.
