When I first got an e-mail address at AOL, I asked to be eddie@AOL.com. Obviously that was taken, and eddie92099@AOL.com was one of the suggestions I was given. I don't have the address anymore but it has kind of stuck,

Comme Le Vent means Like The Wind
it is the name of a piano piece by my favourite piano-composer - Alkan
it is also a fairly common french phrase, and it exemplifies my taste in music.

Some friends and I were trying to come up with interesting genre combinations, and glam rock and folk struck us as particularly humorous, picturing David Bowie in skin tight gold lame spandex and makeup singing "If I had a Hammer".  Kind of bizarre, I know, but the name stuck.

Allchopin (AWL - Sho - PAN) - My personal preferences lie mainly in Chopin's music, if not all.  He's basically just my favorite composer, so I may as well represent his life of achievements, struggles, and experiences through but a simple, solitary pseudonym.  Actually, I'm thinking of converting it to 1337 lingo soon  :P

My real name is Erik, but that name was already in use on this board, and erak is a nick name I have gotten from my brother. Lots of people call me Erak instead of Erik now, so I just used that for the forum. Looks quite ridicilous, but maybe that's just how I am. :)

Noah means "what an amazing pianist you are, as good as Argerich" in Belgian, something people tell me all the time, so it has kinda stuck (since this seems to be a trendy expression here).

Name of my studio in Australia.  My grandmother used to call me "Skinny Minny" when I was a kid.  Then the term "skinny" could no longer be applied  ;D hee hee) and the Minny was dropped to Min.  When my grandmother died, the nickname kind of died too, so when I started my own studio I didn't want to call it "Jenny's blah blah blah,  but "Min's Music".

I lot of people ask why I've called it that.    It gives me a chance to talk about my Nanna.  :)

"Goose" is a nickname which came from Czech people not being able to pronounce my real name. Many friends now use it in preference to my given name, so I don't feel too bogus using it on this forum.

Floristan is a variation of Florestan, one of Robert Schumann's alter-egos -- the happier, manic one!  (Eusebius was the sadder, depressed one.)  In the Davidsbundler Tanzen, Schumann attributes each of the dances to either Florestan or Eusebius.  They make another appearance in Carnival.

The Davidsbundler, or League of David, was a quasi-fictional "club" Schumann created as a way to talk about what he considered to be authentic music (Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, himeslf, Brahms) and what he considered the "music of the Philistines" -- mostly theatre/opera music like Bellini, et al., later to include Wagner and Liszt, whom Schumann thought were destroying music with musical hyperemotionalism.

And I just thought it was a cool name.   8)

Seeing as "musician" is amazingly boring, and probably already taken, I decided to be a muzakian - one who plays muzak... which is kinda stupid, because muzak typically refers to popular music. However, I don't consider myself talented enough to be a real musician, so it fits.
