I feel you should direct your request privately to

I might be wrong, but i feel this thread could start off another heated debate with inflamed tensions.

You can't be proud of your nationality. You did nothing to achive it. You didn't even choose it.

Absurd statement.

You are proud about the fact that your parents accidentally turned out to be living in the US. How can you be proud about that?

Maybe my point don't make sense to you. It would be a good idea to realise why that it. Nationalism is similar to religion. Leaders use it to be able to control their subjects and to be able to send them into war.

I agree with you here.

Very intellegent, but would die of thirst whilst trying to describe a glass of water, instead of simply drinking it.

I think the idea of a world without nationality's is a idea way, way ahead of its time. My opinion is to respect each other regardless of nationality. Zheers damnation of all things American are a good case point, why not work Zheer toward a solution than be part of the problem?

You can't be proud of your parents or your family. You did nothing to achieve their status. You didn't even choose them. Just kidding!

As with family, national pride is a form of nepotism. And there is nothing illogical or immoral about that.

Nothing about pride here, just an observation.  I thought everyone was welcome here, an international forum.  Who cares where it's home is?  Don't we all enjoy it?

If it wasnt for the ARGUING one could say this is piano heaven - it isnt an earthly kingdom and Nils is its God.  But its a very poor shadow naturally. I suspect a high proportion of the users are american but the if the official language is english and its based on the proportion of pc literate population it is always gonna be! doh!

Yes, but they failed. At first I though he was repeating what I said without quotes. Because I considered adding just that about parents.

By your logic, you should stop breathing. Go jump off a building Go walk out into traffic without, first, looking. Survival is rooted in instinct and emotion. You didnt choose these instincts. You didnt choose these emotions. You didnt even choose to be alive.

Therefore, end it. Less you be one of these strange people 8)

Of course I am one of the strange people of earth.

But as for your logic, I am not proud of the fact that I am alive, or that I breath.

Also, I don't see why I need to commit suicide. Furthermore, doing it by stopping with breating is said to be impossible.

I am alive. That is a given fact. Why should I decide against such a thing? Don't I have responsibilities towards the people around me? And don't I have to bear life since it was not my choice to be alive or death?

Not walking into a car, that might be driven by a mother trying to get her children in school before her job, has nothing to do with being unreasonable and following instinct and emotion.
