i liked the pic with you and dougs and you and the chocolate cake.  you're kinda cute, thal.  i guess i already told you that.  too bad nobody seems to be able to get a picture of me.  my neighbors are too busy photographing their latest baby.  was thinking about the mall again -but it seems like too much trouble.  plus, i spent all the money last week for the rest of the month on mundane things at target and ac moore.  i got a load of paper mache.  i don't really don't know what i'm going to do with it now.  guess a pinata of some wierd sort - for my 12 year old's bd party on friday.  originally i bought it to make maracas (but somebody stole my show and just bought them outright - making all these poor kindergarteners never have the fun of making their own with a balloon and toilet paper roll).  if i'd never told them my idea - they wouldn't have run out and bought them so fast.  hmph.  i hate working with groups.  anyways - sorry to get off topic.  hope you had fun in the shetlands.  hope you're back safe.  that didn't look good - four fishermen drowned.

ps i went 23 miles yesterday on the bike.  nothing really happened.  except some guy complimented me on my hair. (?)  it was in a braid down the back.  apparently he likes braids.  oh,  i remember now what happened.  these four guy cyclists acting all cool and hot pass me about the 10th mile.  i pass them at the 18th casually going uphill.  i left them in the dust.  i was going to ask - what do you need the rear view mirrors for?  but, i declined - being that i was passing them anyway - and that was probably enough humiliation.

he'd hardly bounce.  he used to be a weightlifter, you know!  they're made of iron.  i wouldn't doubt that he still has some pretty strong legs.

pianowolfi, i am not a racer - but i have a racing bike.  i am a long distancer.  when other people get tired - i am still going at my medium pace.  i don't ride fast until the end of the summer.  everything is a blur then.   i like long open spaces and pacing.  we don't have THAT many hills - but this one was windy and a little grade.  i was surprised it slowed these guys down.  pianowolfi, i wouldn't try to beat you anyway.  only people i don't know.

Due to the force 8 gale that was blowing, i did fall out of bed but did not bounce.

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
