Diploma Repertoire
on: November 17, 2006, 05:33:32 PM
For my DIPAbrsm, the pieces i have so far...(has to be around 35 minute recital)
Sonata No.27 in E Minor (Complete) - Beethoven ~ 14 mins
La Plus Que Lente - Debussy ~ 5 mins
Impromptu No.2 in F Minor - Gabriel Faure ~ 4 mins
Prelude in G# Minor - Rachmaninov ~ 3 minutes
if not long enough i was thinking about Berceuse in D flat - Chopin which adds about another 5 minutes or so.
im still only just beginning learning them, so my programs nowhere near complete.
the pieces i listed were in no particular order - any suggestions for the best order?

I would probably suggest a prelude and fugue of Bach or a scarlatti sonata because your romantic side is already quite well catered for in your exisiting programme. Nice pieces though - Happy learning!

Bach is a great suggestion, P & F #13, Bk1 of the WTC, a major key, in contrast to the rest.
