Help me be creative
on: November 28, 2006, 03:26:01 PM
Our piano studio is getting together to get a group gift for our teacher.  So we got him something nice, that we know he's wanted for a while.  We plan to give it to him at our annual studio Christmas party next week.  Unfortunately, he sort of has been guessing or hinting to see if we got him this particular thing.  How can we fool him into thinking we got something else?  I was going to get a blank gift card but write something like $100 on it.  But then how do we surprise him with the "real" gift?
When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

depending upon how large it is - could you put it under the lid of the piano and then ask if he wouldn't mind playing something for you.

my husband did this - and i got really mad and said i didn't want to play anything.  finally an hour later - i go to the piano and lift the lid and there were pearl earrings there.  i was so ashamed.

but, being a piano student - you'll probably get better results.
