An intermezzo.
on: December 01, 2006, 10:05:05 AM
i need a littil piece to play between an impromptue on russian folk songs and scriabin etude op.8no.12  on december 11

both pieces are intense and very dramatique so i want to break the mood a bit and give the audience a breath.

i prefer a light lively piece in a major key  preferably not by a russian composer.

right now i'm looking thro glier and gretchaninov children pieces, which seems very attractive.

any suggestion is very appreciated.

Mozart Gigue in G K.574 is a joy.

I definitely second the suggestion of Mozart's Gigue.  It is one of my favorite works.  The harmony is delicious and a bit spicy.
