Sunspots and war
on: December 05, 2006, 10:08:17 AM
I get interested in strange things and statistics, recently I started reading about the correlation between sunspots in our Sun and wars. Seems weird that there is that connection what do you reckon? Here's some online info on it.

Do you want to say, that the decisions of Bush and Blair
are driven by sunspots  ???    ;D
If it doesn't work - try something different!

I didn't realise that Blair made decisions; I thought that he just did what he was told...

No, really. This isn't at all meaningfull. It is a statistical relation. They appear all over the place and have no meaning.

Now when you have the hypothosis that sun spots influence weather, which influence the quality of the harvest, which influence hunger, which influence war, then you actually have something you can research and test.

best, Restan
Indeed I do - and I have not suggested otherwise (even though I have kept those opinions to myself), but I answered the specific question that you asked, which was about my political party allegiance - and that is not quite the same thing. For the record, I do not subscribe to any British political party and I have but the slenderest of faith in any of them. It is also perhaps worthy of note that Margaret (now Lady) Thatcher's avowed ambition to steer all British political parties to the right of where they were at the time has not quite come about as she might have hoped or expected; what seems to have occurred instead has been a blurring of some of the differences between the main ones.
