Just performed a world premiere...
on: December 06, 2006, 08:52:35 PM
...on a digital piano, a Roland HP1 to be exact, but it went really well and sounded really good! I made quite a few mistakes, especially having to restart a certain section, but everyone said they didn't notice them! Great! ;D

It was the world premiere of Serenade by Barnaby Southgate, a friend of mine, and you can find a video to it in my signature, though I think I should record a new one seeing as I've improved greatly on the piece since then. It was part of my schools christmas miscellany and I only got to play that one piece, but it was a great feeling!!! I was quite jittery, and had to spend some very embarrasing moments trying to stick a folded envelope underneath the pedals so they would work, and I even got an applaud for doing that! It was great  ;D ;D

Just thought I'd tell you guys!
Henrah

Btw, I'm going to be playing it again to Barnaby later on this evening on my Fazioli so he can witness the true sound I can create, wooopy!!!  8) Man I'm so hyped up, better eat some chocolate!

And I just played the same composition to the composer on my wonderful Fazioli, and he liked it even more!

Hey henrah, that's really great for you!

I still watch your video of that piece sometimes, cause I think it's a great piece. And isn't it great if people don't notice your mistakes?... I bet the composer noticed them, if he was there when you were performing.  ;)

Yeah he said he noticed them, but they didn't distract from the overall flow or feel of the piece.

Ok I've been motivated to record that Serenade again, as I really feel that you deserve better than the video in my signature. As always, the pianist is his own worst critic :)

Nope it's not just you.... darn it... well, I guess that means I must record a new version seeing as I don't have the videos any more! I thought they'd be safe with savefile, but I guess not.

I'll get to it as soon as I can.
