Bench orientation
on: December 09, 2006, 01:05:33 PM
Has it ever happened to you?  You sit at the bench, you want to make it higher (or lower, fancy yourself) and you start rolling the knob, just to find, invariably, that you  should have been doing it in the opposite direction.

I have mine so that facing the piano right hand clockwise (i.e., towards the piano) goes higher, counter goes lower.

Do you have an opinion about what is right, standard or most intuitive?
Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.  :)

Yes, that seems logical to me too

If it doesn't work - try something different!

Mine goes round and round like a barstool
I am perfectly normal, it is everyone else who is strange.
