hey donjuan,
anyone who knows me would tell you im the last person to ask about jazz. having said that, i'm still going to offer advice.. oh well, at least you can ignore it!! also, i know it's like the #1 jazz song to many people, and overdone perhaps, but this one is a sentimental favourite of mine!!

firstly i don't understand your project. it seems too slow for a singer to sing the tune over what you have written. if in fact you hadn't imagined the vocals being added over the top, then i would say that [mostly] it's not too suggestive of the vibe of "autumn leaves", as you've kept the "classical style" harmonies. voicings to are probably not in the jazz style. i don't think the cheesy rhythm you decorate each bar of the tune with, is really in keeping with this song. so too the continual placement of the root note in the bass.

having said that, i'd still like to hear you actually play this live, rather than through dodgy midi!!

this is the STRANGEST autumn leaves i have ever heard and yet - i like it.  sort of a hora dance  with autumn leaves.  fairly impossible to play on the harp - but considerably ok on the accordian.  don juan - are you taking the drugs you're supposed to be dispensing?  what is happening in the back room?

Hey you can put moods to it. Make it more daunting at one point, like more of a minor scale. Then brighten it up a bit. Right now it sounds too mediocre and cheery-ish
