Ignorant, and partly funny.

He basis his argument on 'ignorance' so only people not very familiar with classical music will find it funny.

I didn't like it.

One guy in the audience seemed to love it!

I think the majority of it was just dissing classical music. But he tells the truth: a sparkler would make conducting much more interesting to watch!

I bet he really likes classical music. Most insult comedians actually like or do the things they insult, thus making it politically correct to do so. For example: only black comedians can tell insulting jokes about black people without being called racist. I think that you can only infallably insult something which you are a part of, or like doing.

It is so stupid that black people can make jokes about black people, jewish people can make jokes about the holocaust, etc.

Yes, I noticed that too about one guy.

Yeah it is stupid, but I doubt anyone will accept the opposite. Only an Iranian comedian (like Omid Djalili) can make a joke about Iranians being passionately angry and get a laugh. Anyone else doing it and they'll be thought of as stereotyping. It's just not possible to joke about a culture different to your own and have the audience accept it.

You think he doesn't have any taste in music and then finishes with Benson's Birdland! (maybe an editing choice)
Tis not particularly funny, or offensive really - I don't think he knows enough to satirize classical music.  Re-imagining a conductor's stance is a cheap laugh (if anyone did laugh).
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.
