Tasteless and disgusting.  Horrifyingly disrespectful.  Have some respect for the lives that were lost and the horror of the events of 9/11.  The disregard for human life is disgusting, particularly the selection of the man jumping out of the building.  Liberace would be aghast, I imagine, if he knew that his performance of an uplifting song was being put to such a insensitive use.  I presume that the person who created this was not American, probably not even Western, due to the subtitles.

Words cannot come close to describing the disrespect and flagrant carelessness with which the creator of this short is possessed.

I totally agree. IN fact, I think it should be pulled from the forum.    I will ask that you do this opus10no2 out of respect for the lives lost on 911.     It's in very very poor taste.

Im more appalled that this is poorly executed gimmick comedy. I think someone should take the idea and do it better.

I have respect for the lives lost, and the footage is distressing.

But the juxtaposition of these subjects are, evidently, amusing to some people, and these people aren't necessarily insensetive to the lives lost.

I think it's an interesting topic and people should be free to witness this and make up their own minds.

Did you loose a family member on 911?    if you did I think you would think differently.

While I don't find it "amusing," I absolutely agree with the latter half of your statement.  Life is a balancing act of comedy and tragedy, and I find the juxtaposition of this video very interesting. --To me, it shows how at times we will cry; other times, laugh; all the while, life (whatever that may be) goes on.

However, 'interesting' wasn't a voting option..

That's what I'm talking about! Professional execution and satirism. Symbolic of a new wave of Dada art - a video that shocks and teaches. Love it.

Humor is fine.  In its place at the appropriate time.  But it's too soon, even after five years.  The same thing goes for any disaster.  It would be like playing celebratory music while showing footage of the tsunami, or car bombings in the mideast.  It's not right.  The world is still too sensitive.

Mind, if it was a video involving the prophet Muhammad, it would be all over the news now, and people would be burning flags.   ::)

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
