I think you poll is highly flawed, no offense to you.
Each style of music has its own challenges and problems.
Now personally, I could neve play a jazz piece well. I have no rythm (I'm not black, I'm pathetic whem it comes to swinging music) But I also have neve been trained in jazz. So I feel that that has something to do with it as well.
Popular music is a very basic style of music. I mean really all it is is I IV V chrod progression. It's simple, it's straightforward and It's popular because of that simplistic predictability to it. Still I'ts popular music for a reason and hey, there are some pretty impressive solos and pieces of poular music out there
Then rock: I V I V chord progression 9if my memory serves me right, correct me if I'm wrong) Once again, strong, simple chord progressions but still very popular probably due to this fact. and still, there are some INSANE guitar solos out there in rock music, naturally.
One style that I was disappointed that you neglected in Contemporary. this stuff is WILD. I mean as a saxophonist, contemporary music is pretty much all we have to play. In a lot of these pieces there are no chords so that cna be pretty exciting. and quarter tones and bizarre technical stuff can really be a challenge. to me this is the hardest style just due to the vast amount of techniques necessary to perform contemporary pieces. Once again I feel that I find contemporary music very challenging to play (and listen to) because I had very little exposure and training in it prior to University.
I unfortunaetly don't have enough time to say eveyrhing that I want to say but I hope this gives you some points to ponder.
Good luck!

None of it is harder than the others, they are merely different
If you are used to play in one style, you have difficulties in the others since you are not used to them.
However I feel a bit of training in all styles would help a lot in whichever type of music you want to follow. I can usually spot jazz and rock musicians who are classically trained, since their technique is a lot better and they are a lot more comfortable with the keyboard.
In the same way, I would guess a bit of training in jazz harmonies and improvisation would help a classical musician as well.
People seem to have an obsession in determining what is harder... What is harder is that which you don't know how to play. It's a pointless question.
