Played on a Pfeiffer Grand Piano yesterday
on: December 24, 2006, 09:26:42 PM
I played on a Pfeiffer Grand Piano yesterday. I don't know wich model it was, but it was a great experience. This was my first time playing on a Grand Piano, so I knew it would be special.

The deep, rich, beautiful sound of the instrument gave me goosebumps. It was in a Pianostore and luckily the owner of the store was very nice to let me play on it. I played on it for about one and a half hour, so I had enough time to get used to the Grand Piano! I'm used to play on a Yamaha Digital Piano, so I was really impressed by the sound of the Pfeiffer. Also, the thing I noticed is that the keys moved a bit when I pressed the soft pedal!?...

There are only 2 Pfeiffer Grand Pianos here in The Netherlands, the story owner told me, so that makes it even more special for me.

I just had to share this with you.  ;)

yup yup,,, the keyboard moves over to the right when you press the 'soft pedal',, that's because the action shifts over so that the hammers only hit 2 strings (hence the softer sound), instead 3 strings.
\\\\\\\"I like these calm little moments before the storm. It reminds me of Beethoven\\\\\\\"
