I only just heard about this earlier at my Nans :/ I don't really know much of James Brown, but it's sad never-the-less he has passed away. On the News, they claimed he was giving presents to Children only 3 days before his Passing? I have yet to hear what caused his life to end, if it's by natural means of old age... then I'm personally suprised he was so active only days before, but what do I know.

Anyway, even if I don't have any music of his, or know anything of his lifes details, I will remember his name atleast ^_^

Btw, don't bother answering my question, I will just read that news report.

It's hard to believe that only six months ago he was here performing!  A lot of things change in six months.  But that's the way I'd like to go out.  He didn't let his age slow him down.  What an icon.

I had seen a documentary, "Rock and Roll and Unruly History" I think.  Anyway it said that his band would follow his Brown's body movements; the rhythm section would riff from what Brown was doing.  Brown and the band would play off each other and the rhythms in live shows would get quite intricate.  He produced some great music. :'(
The artist does nothing that others deem beautiful, but rather only what to him is a necessity.  Arnold Schoenberg, Theory of Harmony

I admired his energy, but I never really cared for his music.
