ok.  this has really nothing to do with thal.  i just decided this morning that i'm going to practice more and talk less.  i mean, i do spend a lot of time on this forum.  it is not wasted time - per se - but, perhaps...just perhaps - i am completely talked out.  i have nothing further to say. not even about mt blanc or why jenny can't play the piano.  i was tempted to respond - but then i thought 'i don't even know jenny.'  how should i know why she can't play the piano.  you see - i do have restraint!

this is soley a choice to get my brain rewired toward practicing the piano in 2007.  and, thal has mt. climbing training to focus on.  he cannot get distracted by titanium oxygen tanks - although in his delirium i can assure you - he will be begging me to bring him one as he sucks the last bits of air out of his inflatable snowshoes.

peace, joy and love in 2007.

ps i might attempt to post something or other in the piano competition thread that iumonito has posted at the end of january.  but, that all depends if i get back to form or not on piano.  i mean, i'm not going to post trash if i can help it.  the i-pod recording made me so depressed.  must return to form.

i hate to say it - but i've given up on the walk of fame.  i'm not sure pianists get stars there.  or is it the steinway artists list.  but, i haven't given up on my dream of playing a piano concerto with basically any orchestra that i can find that will have me.  must learn leroy anderson's piano concerto.  then, i will write a letter to the community college symphonies around here and see what i can drum up.

you mean music minus one.  it's just that i hope people don't say that i'm the minus one part.

i'm practicing really hard now, wishful thinker.  in fact - today i went through l'isle (you prefer french, i see) of joyeuse about five times.  talk about hacking.  i've hacked debussy now.
