What is this piece?
on: January 06, 2007, 08:11:43 PM
I'm trying to figure out what piece this is, it is from a very old PC game. I'm not even sure if it was originally written for piano. Sounds like a baroque organ prelude perhaps.

It's by Bach, and it's a prelude.
I'm not sure if it's a lute piece, or a keyboard piece, but I do know it.

Yes, it's a prelude "pour la lute" by Bach:
No 6 in c-minor from "Sechs kleine Präludien" (even if your sample sounds more like d-minor.)

Hey, I found a midi of it! What a cool little piece! I think I actually have it on sheet music for keyboard somewhere. It appears it is played on several different instruments.

BWV 999--it was written in c-minor, but most guitarists play it in d minor.

Very cool piece!-Derek, (or anyone else) any chance you could post the sheet music to it? I'd love to play it. Thanks, Eric

It has surely been arranged for piano because on the Sergio tiempo website he plays this in his young age video.
