Liszt-Saint-Saens Sonata en Si Bemol
on: January 11, 2007, 01:27:10 PM
Saint Saens transcribed Liszt Sonata for 2 pianos  because he thought it one of the greatest works ever penned, but that it was too difficult for most virtuosos.

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)
