i simply can't make it :( (scriabin sonata no.2, 2nd movement)
on: January 13, 2007, 11:10:59 PM
i finished the first movement
it wasn't easy, but it was ok. i can play it preety fine now
second movement, i don't have problem with speed, first page is fine
now
second page
there is this passage:
and whatever i tried, i just fail to play it. no speed, not voicing, nothing. i played it slow hundreds of time. in the second bar there is a huge strech that i catch with the right hand instead of the left is that ok? anyway.. i have a complete lack of motivation for playing the piano just because of this passage. i'm stuck on it for more than a week
any advices??

Even with slow practice you won't get it if you don't understand it. Last time i think it was you who was struggling with understanding how the piece was structured and I circled the notes who went together ? You should work on understanding the piece's structure first, then work slowly and grow speed. Work without getting second note of each group out first. When you can play it all at speed, then add the second note of the group out.
