Here are a few (I assume (?) you mean classically-oriented composers?)

Eugenie Rocherolle
Catherine Rollin
Jeanine Yeager
Melody Bober
Marth Mier
Joyce Grill
Gail Thompson Kubik
Arletta O'Hearn
Lynn Freeman Olson

Thanks, Brahams,
Yes - Not limited to classical, but certainly classical.
I forgot about Lynn Olson and Melody Bober.
I love their music and buy it all the time.

Looks pretty comprehensive to me.

Most of the people I saw on that list are more pedagogical it seemed than composer.  I just thought I'd add a few that do orchestra and Jazz as well: Jennifer Higdon, Takana Mayumoto, Takako Asahina,  Liz Story, Rachel Portman, Lisa Gerard...Oh and don't forget Tori Amos.

Tori Amos is not a composer, she's a pop artist.

Frankly i'm not to down with female composers. I keep trying getting into Gubaidulina but her music makes no sense to me and the more i try the less i seem to care. Haven't tried anybody else yet.
