First editions of the Beethoven Sonatas
on: January 24, 2007, 11:53:58 PM
Hi all,

This is particularly for those of you with access to good libraries.  I spotted the following "edition" (reprint) of first editions, by publisher Tecla.  https://www.tecla.com/catalog/1001.htm

I think Tecla's is a great idea, but the price tag they have put on the product is ridiculous.  All of these materials are in the public domain.

I think it would be very neat to create a full collection here.

I will do some research at IPAM and Library of Congress in Washington DC on this.  Who wants to take the various English and German libraries that must have most of this stuff?

Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.  :)
