Why'd Chopin hate the Fantasie Impromptu?

I heard that Chopin hated his fantasie impromptu and wanted to burn it. I was wondering why

its not a rumor ive heard it from biographys youtube and people on pianostreet

i really dont like it that much. i dont think its a poor composition, but its just boring to listen to after a few times.

I heard that (one) of the reasons was that after the little tittly part with all the trills at the begining, the descending passage had the same notes as a passage in the third movement of Beethoven's Moonlight sonate.

I've heard the similar-to-moonlight comment a lot too. Seems reasonable, but I guess it's still speculative.

I wonder how Chopin would respond today, knowing how popular the piece is.

i am probably one of the biggest advocates of obscure music on this forum and even i return to the scherzo no. 1 at times. never to FI though.
