question about bass clef note

in measure 13 of chopin's prelude in D major (op 28 #5) - i see a G in the bass but a G# in the treble.  they are played together at the same time.  did he mean for them to sound 'off' or is this a dover misprint.  or, is it a rule that you must have a sharp written in the bass for it to be similar notation as the sharp in the treble?

My dover copy has a B in the bass and a G sharp in the treble....  but when I first read it, it did look like a G in the bass... Hope that helps!

Yes, it's a B.
If it doesn't work - try something different!
