Litolff: Spinnerlied Op.81

Scharwenka: Impromptu Op.17

Also, any of Franck's early piano works. Rumor has it he wrote a piano sonata, amongst other things...?

Thank you, Lawrence.

Unfortunately, the A major sonata is just a piano transcription of the Violin Sonata. I had heard of others that he wrote in his youth- specifically, Op. 10 and 18. Also, I found mention of his first Concerto somewhere (Op.2) and wonder if it's known for sure that it was destroyed.

Do you happen to have Franck's Eglogue Op.3 and Caprice Op.5? Also, does anybody have more information on (or the sheets to) these two sonatas and the Concerto No.1?

Unfortunately, the A major sonata is just a piano transcription of the Violin Sonata.

Wow, is this Franck's own transcription? Is this acceptable as a solo piano work, or would one be better off to find a violin partner?

I don't know. 'm fairly sure it's someone else's transcription, though. Besides, I think it's better as a violin sonata anyway.

The transcription is by Cortot.
