Kawai K50 49.25 inch Upright versus Kawai GE-30 Grand Piano 5' 5"
on: February 04, 2007, 11:02:30 PM
Please send your opinion as to whether it is worth trading in my Kawai K50 upright to purchase a Kawai GE-30 Grand Piano (5 feet 5 inches).
1. Will there be much difference in the string length and soundboard size between these 2 pianos? 2. Which piano will sound tonally, dynamically and powerfully different in the bass and treble or will there be any noticeable difference besides the price? 3. Will the pianos sound vastly different, for example, if the lid is closed on the grand piano when playing. 4. Also, does anyone know the differences between the Kawai RX-1 and GE-30 grand pianos? I would appreciate anyone's advice, information and opinion. Thanks.
