Virtuoso Strauss Transcription
on: February 05, 2007, 11:30:15 AM
Hi,
I think I have seen it somewhere.

Btw, I wonder can anyone share any transcription of any composers on Johann Strauss's theme. Alfred Grunfeld, Schulz-vler, Ignaz Friedman, Tausig, Moriz Rosenthal, Godowski???

Thanks a lot.

And some more..

Rosenthal and Reger. Sorry, I have the Schulz-Evler, but it's not scanned - it's an original, so I can't post it. I'm sure someone else will have it, though.

I have the Cziffra Blue Danube also, but it's obviously still under copyright.

Here is the Schulz-Evler.

Are there any in particular you want?. I have collected about 70 J Strauss transcriptions and i don't really want to fill up too much space here.

There is a piece called Carneval in Vienna by Rosenthal, it's a great piece - do you have it?

Thanks.

Rosenthal died 1946, so it is copyrighted.

Rather a harsh transcription i feel.

Thank you A LOT.

You guys are great. It is ok without Rosenthal. I heard that his is very fiendish.

By the way, this is more than what I ask for. Thank you again.

Thal

You mean that it is bad, or that is is harsh because it's very difficult?

Both really.

Some Strauss transcriptions just make me want to get up and dance.

That one don't.
