Help on Volodos: Turkish March Paraphrase

I have a lot of problems with this piece. Let's just start from the beginning, the right hand is playing two seperate parts. How do you make the top part(the theme of the original piece) more hearable? I played it to my friend and he didn't get the theme, it gets mixed up with the other parts.
