on: February 26, 2007, 03:29:29 PM
Hi, im going to purchase a digital piano, my budget is arround 1000 USD. I need to know the difrerence between a digital piano and pro digital keyboard (both have weighted graded hammer keys and thats the most important to me to be honest, then the sound quality) i need advice with these pianos,
These is the yamaha-dgx620
https://www.chamberlainmusic.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=DGX620
and the korg.
https://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=SP250
the yamaha cost 800 USD
and the korg 900 USD
Need advice plz.

Why would anyone want weighted action on a synthesiser?

So it feels more similar to a real piano.
Kawai just got started a new generation of digitals that are supposed to be very realistic. I played two generations before, and they were good, although still felt like a digi.
Yahama GrandTouch series has a "real" action inside, but the ones I have seen available are priced absurdly high.

Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.
