Yipee, new school...
on: March 08, 2007, 08:57:26 AM
I've just turned 13, and this year, I entered a new school...a secondary school, as a matter of fact. This is the start of something new, very new. I'm slowly getting used to the more hectic schedule. Actually, it's a lot of stuff to swallow...in the past, I did'nt learn history, geography, literature, ISO, ePOD, EP...And also not forgetting MEP, UYO and the weekly guitar orchestra practice...

Btw, MEP stands for Music Elective Progamme, which means Higher Music (Yay!!!). ;D ;D

Don't ask me why I set up this thread...I just felt like doing something... :P

So true...  As most of us here know, high school and college are very busy, I mean, the first semseter this year I had 10 different subjects.  10!  You are going to have to find out how YOU organize... some folks use files, and some folks use piles.  I tend to have very organized clutter.  And you know what? It works for me!  So find out how you think, and organize your life so it makes sense to you, and don't procrastinate, it really tends to screw things up.

Good luck!

Thanks for all your advice! :)

I just realised that I'm doing 16 subjects :o (Not counting Guitar Orchestra). Ok, at least two of those 16 won't be tested. Thats Pastoral Care and Enrichment programme.

Its quite fun actually...secondary school is much more interesting and exciting than primary school life.

Hi, Ihatepop. Can I ask what country do you live in? Primary and Secondary are terms very near what we use here, but apparently not at all like the names I hear in TV.

I remember doing 11 different examined accademic subjects, plus 3 instruments and music theory, my spare time I studied librarianship and played in about 5 ensembles.  That took serious organisation.  Good luck ihatepop!

Many Singaporeans are highly disciplined and well-trained. Just ask their government.

It depends on how hard-working you are. Almost all the people in Singapore can speak english, but many refused to utilise it properly and mixed english with other languages, creating the (in)famous 'Singlish'. Heard of that before?
